Dog’s Life of Pinehurst is a Professionally run and managed shop, owned and operated by Linda and Garry Carlson of Carthage. Linda is a 30+ year award winning, grooming professional who lends her personal brand of leadership and expertise to mix, while Garry brings almost 2 decades of grooming shop management and marketing experience to the equation as well.

Together, along with our professional crew of groomers and bathers, we provide the best grooming services and solutions, top to bottom, head to tail, in the Sandhills and Moore County.

Who We Are

Linda Carlson

Linda Carlson, Owner of Dog’s Life of Pinehurst, is a committed seasoned Grooming Professional who brings 30+ years of Grooming Experience and talent to the grooming table. Linda has won numerous awards along the way including a Silver Medal at Intergroom, the worlds largest International Grooming Competition and Trade Show. Linda is on the staff of Intergroom and has been attending this show, held in New Jersey every spring, continuously, for over 30 years.



Linda is also a teaching professional for the grooming industry as well, having taught individual students the fine art of grooming over the years, as well as teaching at seminars at several different competitive grooming venues, including multiple years at Intergroom. As such, Linda has always remained “teachable” herself, consistently “yearning to be learning” more about her trade, trends and traditions.

Make no mistake about the fact that Linda is THE driver of all things at Dogs Life of Pinehurst, NC. She is innovative and approachable in her application of management principles and grooming techniques, which helps drive quality improvements for you and your dogs’ comfort and overall grooming experience.

Garry Carlson

Garry Carlson, Owner of Dog’s Life of Pinehurst, has nearly 2 decades Management & Marketing experience in the Grooming Industry. He first met Linda in 1997, and soon after she then asked him to become partners in her business. His primary focus has always been on Customer Service, Marketing and Management of the business. Together they have had 3 successful grooming shops in Mass, Vermont and here in the Sandhills.

Garry has also been on the Staff at Intergroom for a decade+ and has taught seminars to grooming professional at a variety of locations across the US. Garry is know for his comintments and his genuine love for all things dog – He ought to, as he has plenty of them at home!



Garry drives the quality processes around Customer Relations and Satisfaction and is the back room guy who works on Computer Related issues for the business such as Client Records Management (database), Website Development and overall Marketing of Dog’s Life of Pinehurst.

Sarah Riddle

Sarah is a 40 year veteran groomer. Starting out at her family’s dog grooming shop, she has been immersed in this industry for decades. She loves dogs and that care shows through in how she works with them.

She has seen everything and can handle any situation. She looks forward to serving you and caring for your beloved pet.
